Want to start a family?

In Vitro Fertilization, or IVF, can help. During IVF, eggs are collected and fertilized with sperm in a lab setting. This increases the chances of pregnancy for couples facing infertility challenges.

  • IVF:Mature eggs are retrieved, fertilized with sperm, and the resulting embryos are implanted in the uterus.
  • ICSI:By injecting a single healthy sperm directly into the egg, ICSI bypasses the need for the sperm to fertilize the egg on its own, making it a valuable option for couples struggling with infertility.
  • Intracytoplasmic insemination (IUI), Gender Selection, Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT), Male infertility evaluation and treatment

Who can benefit from IVF-ICSI?

ICSI is a powerful tool that can significantly increase fertilization rates for couples facing male and female factors

Male infertility factors, such as:

  • Low sperm count
  • Poor sperm motility
  • High percentage of abnormal sperm shape (morphology)
  • Retrograde ejaculation (when sperm travels backward into the bladder)
  • Vasectomy (a sterilization procedure for men)
  • Immune factors that prevent sperm from fertilizing the egg
  • Other conditions that impede fertilization

Female infertility factors, including:

  • Ovulation disorders
  • Blocked fallopian tubes
  • Endometriosis
  • Advanced maternal age
  • Poor egg quality

By injecting a single healthy sperm directly into the egg, ICSI bypasses the need for the sperm to fertilize the egg on its own, making it a valuable option for couples struggling with infertility.

Unexplained infertility

Unexplained infertility refers to cases where couples undergo extensive fertility testing, yet no clear cause for their infertility can be identified. IVF-ICSI (In Vitro Fertilization with Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) can be particularly beneficial for these couples. By bypassing potential barriers to conception encountered in natural fertilization, such as sperm-egg interaction issues, IVF-ICSI offers a promising solution for unexplained infertility, increasing the chances of successful conception and pregnancy.

Congenital and chromosomal abnormalities ( genetic diseases )

Couples carrying genetic disorders or chromosomal abnormalities may face challenges in achieving pregnancy naturally, as there’s a risk of passing these conditions on to their offspring. IVF-ICSI with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) provides a viable solution. PGT allows embryologists to screen embryos for genetic abnormalities before implantation, enabling the selection of healthy embryos for transfer. This significantly reduces the risk of transmitting genetic diseases to the future child, offering hope to couples with a family history of congenital disorders or chromosomal abnormalities.

Fertility Preservation

Individuals facing medical treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy that may compromise their fertility can benefit from IVF-ICSI for fertility preservation. By retrieving and freezing eggs or embryos before undergoing treatment, individuals can preserve their fertility options and increase the likelihood of future successful pregnancies, even after completion of medical therapies that may affect reproductive health.

Ready to start your IVF-ICSI journey? Here’s what to expect:

  • Step 1: Consultation and Planning (Variable Time)An initial consultation with an infertility specialist involves discussing your medical history, undergoing examinations like ultrasounds and blood tests, and potentially a semen analysis for the male partner. Based on this information, your specialist creates a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. This step can take some time depending on the complexity of your case.
  • Step 2: Ovarian Stimulation (7-10 Days)This stage starts on days 2-3 of your menstrual cycle. You'll receive medication to stimulate the growth of multiple eggs in your ovaries. Regular monitoring through ultrasounds and blood tests tracks the development of these eggs (follicles) and adjusts medication if needed. Finally, 36-40 hours before egg retrieval, you'll receive a trigger shot to ensure egg maturity.
  • Step 3: Egg Retrieval (OPU) (1 Procedure)A short, minimally invasive procedure under sedation retrieves your eggs using a thin needle guided by ultrasound. The number of eggs retrieved depends on your response to the medication.
  • Step 4: Sperm Collection and ICSI (Same Day as Egg Retrieval)Your partner will provide a semen sample on the day of egg retrieval. Using a precise technique called ICSI, a single healthy sperm is injected directly into each egg to increase fertilization chances.
  • Step 5: Possible Genetic Testing (3-5 Days)If you choose preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) for hereditary diseases or comprehensive chromosomal screening (CCS) with optional gender selection, a small sample (biopsy) is taken from each embryo after 3-5 days. Healthy embryos are then chosen for transfer.
  • Step 6: Embryo Transfer (ET) (1 Procedure)This is a minor, non-invasive procedure where the chosen embryos are transferred into your uterus. After the transfer, you'll undergo blood tests to monitor hormone levels and confirm pregnancy.

Total Time: The entire IVF-ICSI cycle typically takes 21-25 days. However, the initial consultation and planning stage can vary depending on your specific situation.

Understanding IVF-ICSI Results

Fertilization Success: Not all retrieved eggs will fertilize. This is normal, and the number that do can vary.

Embryo Development: Even fertilized eggs won’t all develop into healthy embryos. There can be variations in their quality and stage of growth.

Embryo Assessment: After fertilization, our skilled embryologists will carefully evaluate your embryos and provide a detailed report on their quality.

Considering IVF-ICSI: Is it Right for You?

The decision for IVF-ICSI is personal. Here’s how we can help:

  • Personalized Consultation: Every couple’s situation is unique. We recommend discussing your full medical history with an Infertility Specialist to explore all options, including alternatives to IVF-ICSI.
  • Understanding Your Needs: We know the emotional and financial challenges of infertility. Ganin IVF is here to support you and your partner on your journey to parenthood.

Starting Your IVF Journey Abroad

Ganin IVF welcomes international patients! Many couples like you begin ovarian stimulation with medication at home (around 10 days) before traveling to our UAE facility.

  • Streamlined Process: Here, you’ll complete the remaining steps (egg retrieval, ICSI fertilization, and embryo transfer) over 7-9 days.
  • Dedicated Support: Our International Patient Coordinator is available to guide you through every step. Simply contact us to get started!
